Out-Spoken Press launches Thought Series. Four newly-commissioned works by prominent thinkers for 2027-28 with Lola Olufemi, Olivia Sudjic, Emily LaBarge and Joelle Taylor.

Out-Spoken Press has commissioned book-length essays from celebrated writers Lola Olufemi, Olivia Sudjic, Emily LaBarge and Joelle Taylor for the first tranche of the Press’s new non-fiction Thought Series, to be published in 2027-28.

Out-Spoken Press Commissioning Editor Anthony Anaxagorou says:

We’ve launched the Thought Series as a way of trying to establish a more manageable form of non-fiction writing. The series invites four esteemed writers a year to explore any subject of their choice in under 20k words. It’s both exciting and a privilege to launch the list with four remarkable thinkers, who each have excelled in their fields, and I’m confident that what they deliver will be of significant value to the entire cultural landscape.
