Workshops & Courses
We offer a range of different learning opportunities for you to improve your craft – from our monthly programme of one-off online workshops, to our four-week thematic Hyperfocus online courses, longer Out-Spoken Academy courses and in-person Masterclasses at the Southbank Centre.
All of our courses offer the chance to work with leading poets in a friendly and welcoming environment, whatever stage you are at in your poetic journey.
If you’re unable to attend our online workshops or courses as scheduled, we’re pleased to make many of these available as Playback ‘watch later’ options that you can find in our Playback Library.
Monthly Online Workshops
Our monthly programme of one-off online craft workshops. Registration is now open for our September to December 2026 workshops.
Hyperfocus Courses
Four-week thematically-focused online poetry courses. Our next Hyperfocus courses will run in September, October and November 2026.

In-person monthly workshops at the Southbank Centre.
Academy courses
Our longer Out-Spoken Academy online courses offer the chance to work in depth with excellent tutors over four-, six-, or nine-week courses.
